    Great point! I had a friend whose wife once completely opted out of having any taxes withheld (she didn't understand taxes, obviously), and that error would lead them to end up paying off the IRS for three years! People need to take the time to understand the law, because there is no insurance that they won't come after you if you did it wrong...
