I moved to Wells Fargo last summer. They hold my mortgage, which entitles me to a free regular checking account. However, I opted for the PMA which normally costs $30 per month. I get it free. I moved my traditional IRA from Vanguard's brokerage as well. This is the circular logic:

    1. Because I have a PMA, I get 100 free trades per year in my brokerage account (IRA).
    2. Because I have a brokerage account, I get PMA free.
