Groceries at Target

June 17th, 2008 at 09:32 am

Some Target stores have a grocery section. They have frozen foods and packaged goods like cookies, crackers, coffee, bread, cereal, etc. I like to go to Target to get organic milk, Amy's frozen pizza, ice cream, and Archer Farms tiramisu (delicious!). Archer Farms is the Target house brand. The prices are cheaper than the chain grocery stores. But my Target doesn't sell fresh produce.

I've noticed the diary prices at Target are often good.

Our nearest Super Target does sell produce and has a full grocery store. I found that in our area they are usually slightly higher than Super Walmart, but I do love their Archer Farms brands!!

I'm pretty attached to my SuperTarget that has the whole grocery department including produce. It's only 2 minutes from my house. I could even walk!

Watch out on volume or size of boxes and containers. The cereal boxes are smaller than general groceries stores but it is not noticeable until looking real close.

I'm jealous that your Super Target has the full grocery store!

Do you know that you can check the weekly specials & print out coupons for food items from Target at target.com? And be sure to prowl the store looking for where they put the clearance items? There is usually one shelf of dry stuff, and one place in the freezer section. Sometimes you can get great deals there (tho not always).
